QBE Business Insurance Solution (BIS) - Work Injury Compensation
Most Insurers follow the schedule of compensation stipulated under the Act. Here is how QBE BIS Work Injury shines in providing broader cover taking care of both employers and employees at the same time.
Medical expenses

Medical leave wages are calculated based on your average monthly earnings (AME). This may be different from your gross monthly salary.
For outpatient MC or light duties

From 31th day to 1 year of accident
(i) when the employee is on medical leave — two‑thirds of the employee’s AME; and |
QBE BIS extensions (Non-Act coverages)
Common Law | Up to $15,000,000 |
To And Fro Work - travelling between place of employment and place of residence all within Singapore. (Excluding Two-Wheeler) | No substantial interruption or deviation from the journey which is unconnected with his employment. |
QBE BIS optional extensions (Non-Act coverages)
To And Fro Work (including Two-Wheeler) | Compensation is limited to 50% of what the injured rider/pillion would have been entitled to under the Work Injury Compensation Act. |
- further extension is available to include outside Singapore cover (e.g. JB - Singapore) | Coverage outside Singapore is limited to $25,000 per employee and $250,000 in the aggregate for all employees in any one Period of Insurance |
